J.Denner Alto in F, a’=415Hz

It is based on the alto recorder in F by Jacob Denner (1681-1735), the son of J.C. Denner . The original is in Copenhagen Museum of Music History. Born as the eldest son of nine brothers, Jacob studied with his younger brother David under his father to make woodwind instruments, making recorder, traverso, oboe, chalumeau, and bassoon. There are at least 26 original recorders remained.

The characteristic of this J.Denner model is the quick response in higher register. You can easily pronounce the high notes even with a light breath so you can feel easy in playing musical forms with a lot of jumps. The tone is sweet, rich and powerful. It is one of the most popular models today.
